As a fifth generation Colorado native, the author’s novels and short stories are set in nineteenth-century Colorado gold and silver mining towns, using supernatural elements and time travel to tell history in a unique and engaging way. 

He lives on a remote mountain ranch and travels to Central, City, Leadville, Aspen, local museums and graveyards to research the history of lesser known pioneers like his ancestors.
